Breaking News! Martian Needs Help!
Okay, for the first time in about a year, I attempted to play a video game. .Hack//INFECTION to be exact. I can't seem to get through the second dungeon... Anyone else have problems with this game? I took a few days off after I kept losing in the first dungeon, then won when I started back up. Should I do that again? My skills increase with nonusage instead of rust... How odd!

It's for PlayStation 2. .Hack and Infection are the same thing. It's called .hack//Infection. The . is pronounced dot, thus making it dot hack infection... It's the first in a series of four games. There are also two anime which have been translated into English and aired on Cartoon Network at around 1 a.m. I set the DVD to record 'em. They are called .hack//SIGN and .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet. Oh, and one anime that's only been in Japan. It is called .hack//ROOTS. Also, there is a series of books coming out currently called .hack//AI Buster. There is also a manga (Japanese comics) of .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet. And they are making a novel series of the games. They are set in Black Rose's perspective, which makes me wonder about whether or not I'll buy them. I really dislike Black Rose. She seems incapable of composing a sentence without a swear word. Average sentence of Black Rose's "What the ####, Kite? Bring me back to life, #### it!" And she always charges into battle, and never obeys me... I'd buy the novels if Mistral was the main character. Unfortunately Mistral doesn't do as much as Black Rose in the game... She can only do skills, and thus is killed too often. I'm too nice to her though. I revive her before Black Rose in boss battles, but if the boss comes after her, she's guaranteed dead... Then again, Mistral isn't as agressive as Black Rose, so she isn't usually insovled in combat. Maybe I should stop including Black Rose in my parties... Naah, she's my barbarianistic slave. What's a party without the barabarianistic slave? (By barbarianistic slave, I mean she fights all the monsters for me. Then when they're protect broken, I use the twilight bracelet. Or is it book in the video games? Whatever...) I haven't played .hack//Infection yet today, but I found my Super Nintendo and have also been playing Chrono Trigger... I can't find the queen's room in Chrono Trigger. I know she's in the basement of the castle, but not where the basement of the castle actually IS...
Man, that was a ramble! Now you've heard of dot hack, and heard too much of it too.

When you said barbarianistic slave, I couldn't help but think of the slave Leia. It doesn't take much to make me think of her. She's a hottie.
I decided against getting a gaming system because I know I would just play too much. Plus I like to watch TV while I play on the PC. Now that you explain it though, I do recall hearing of .hack. Sounds tough. There are walk thrus, tips, cheats and forums on the web for all sorts of games though.
