Are you reading mainstream Marvel or DC? I ask because, just trying to get into mainstream DC via 52, Shadowpact, and JSA I am confused about a few things: A) When did Power Girl become the shameless, conciousless, nudity-endorsing, profane creature she is today? I felt traces of this in her '88 mini series but not to the extent of today's Power Girl. B) Who the heck are "Natasha", yet another profane female without a good-influence in her, and Renee Montoya, don't get me started on her. C) Who's Steel? D) When did Lex Luthor become president?
I toss in Marvel for Professor X and Deadpool. Maybe others who have commented whose names I don't remember.

Well Power Girl has always had a couple of things that have made her stand out. I'm sure they must have quite a lot to do with the direction that the writers have taken her in.
I don't read much DC, though I do kind of like the new Superman retelling that started a couple of months ago. I also thumb through Green Lantern when I'm at the rack. I always liked his character's story.

And yes the two VERY prominant reasons for the direction of Power Girl are true. But not all gifted women are like that.
By the way Chuck this isn't the post to be using the word 'rack'. Could be construed as something else.

Am I hearing this right? Corbiscide using "construed"? The same guy who gets verbs and adjectives mixed up? I got the Professor's drift though. Wonder if he reads modern Marvel.

I had to re-read my post Corb to see what you were getting at. Very funny!
And yes Jon, I do read mostly Marvel. I'm particularly fond of the new Ms. Marvel and Spider-Woman, though the new artist on New Avengers is not quite bringing the same level of sultriness to the ladies.
